Design Your Own Crazy-Ass BJJ Gi

I'm always marvelled at how many wonderfully talented individuals walk on the tatami of BJJ clubs, academies and gyms all over the world. Fighters care what they wear as it becomes an expression of them, an extension of their character.

Look, for instance, at the contrast between the crazy stylings of Mike Fowler and how it contrasts with the reserved traditional aura surrounding Rickson or Rorion Gracie.

I've always been one for individual expression and after long conversations with my friend Seymour, of the Meerkatsu fame, we decided to run a competition. An Arts Competition: Design your dream gi.

But us being us- nutters, in a word!- we decided to go frikking FULL OUT! So I present to you:

THE CRAZY-ASS DESIGN YOUR DREAM GI COMPETITION.

We’re making Videos on YouTube

We’re uploading Photos!

We’re advertising on BJJ media worldwide!!

We’re recruiting Crazy Ass Talented Celebrities to submit designs!!!

We’re bringing in Prizes. Good Prizes! Crazy Good Prizes!! Crazy-Ass Good Prizes!!!

But of course most importantly, we are inviting YOU, ALL OF YOU, to participate!

Send your best, crazyeee-est most innovative Gi Design and we’ll whack it on a brand new intergalactically superconnected blog and pin it against the best submissions out there.

What the hell are you waiting for? Download the empty canvas below, and go to town on it!

Here are our first submission from the awesome Julia Johansen. They might help you get the creative juices flowing:

Also, remember to check out Meerkatsu: Seymour’s blog, for even more information!

More...So so much more to come!

I wasn't lying when I said AMAZING THINGS IN THE PIPELINE!!!!

Here's a tease. It's just a quick one I whacked together:

I'll go for a tattoo themed BJJ Gi. I've always like those tattoo shirts.
