There's a new gang in town.
Last night Big Boss Man graded Matt Jee, Manik, Graeme and myself to Purple Belt. He also added 2 white stripes to Soultrain's and Kacey's purple belts. I wasn't going to make a big deal out of this but the Facebook, text, email and Twitter response I've had from friends and family has been overwhelming. I even had a congrats text from the editor of Fighter's Only Magazine (You can't say I didn't warn you Hywell)
To all I say, thank you for all the very kind words. I appreciate it a lot.

We all work so hard to get there when anyone we know makes it, it feels like we have too in some way. I've very happy for you.

You are right though. Even though BJJ / Grappling is an individual sport, there is a great sense of community which you don't find in many other individual or even team sports. I doubt tennis players leave comments like the ones I've received on each other's blogs :)
